To keep your taste buds stimulated until my next creation is unveiled, I have released a slightly-modified version of my game Story Portal. For those who don't know, Story Portal lets you upload your own stories to a portal to be judged and ranked by others. There are already loads of stories uploaded.
The changes in this version are:
(1) You can embed stories in your own website;
(2) A bunch of UI glitches have been fixed;
(3) Permanent logins are no longer needed. You can use whatever name you want without any login;
Needless to say, the graphics still look bad, but hey: I do not and will not care about art, ever.
Stay tuned for my newest games.

Rumours swirling around the Internet Sunday suggested that Mr-Money, inventor of the legendary Mario Movie Maker video game series, will be releasing a brand new game to Internet website Newgrounds.com in the coming days.
The game is said to involve creating point-and-click adventure games and uploading them to a worldwide community to be rated and commented on.
Early estimates show the game at 120,000 views in the first week, with numbers exponentially climbing and climaxing at the 1-2 million mark. Money's last game, Mario Movie Maker 4, has been played 1.8 million times since its release in January 2009, an unprecedeted achivement for the growing developer.
Asked for comment, Mr-Money said, "You're going to like this game, but I do worry that 4chan users will flood the portal with child pornography". Indeed, 4chan has been known as the world's forefront for illicit underage material. The scandal reached new heights on nationally-syndicated talkshow, "The Oprah Winfrey Show" when the billion-dollar host declared the Internet to be under threat by over 9,000 penises.
In a statement released late Sunday, Mr-Money said, "Moderation on this game will be left to the community. If you believe any imagery found on the game to be inappropriate, there will be a clear system for reporting the abuse. Images can be expected to be removed within hours".
The game is untitled, but scheuled for release by Wednesday at the very latest.
Updated: 11/15/09 2:02 PM 5 comments | Log in to comment! | Share this!I released Story Portal to Newgrounds yesterday, and as expected, people have used it to spew their racist slander and cock jokes. I counted about 3 or 4 actual stories, compared to about 50 cock jokes or half-assed attempts.
The game got about 700 views, and somehow, there were only 150 accounts created and 55 stories submitted, with 246 votes cast on those stories. I guess people couldn't understand that I wasn't asking for your Newgrounds login................. You can use any username and password. Apparently the ALL-CAPS reminder, as well as the side bar as you log in, weren't good enough. I guess people don't even know how to READ anymore......
Or maybe, people just didn't like the application, or were just too lazy to write a decent story.... or were too lazy to type a username and password (it takes 5 seconds)
Interestingly enough, 3 out of the 4 WRITTEN reviews gave it 10 out of 10, whereas the vote score was below 2.50.
I expected all of these things to occur, without exception. This is why I didn't bother too much with the layout or other features. Maybe this will pick up steam elsewhere. Maybe it won't. I'm not all that bothered, frankly. It was just an idea. I threw it together in about 2 days, programming for a few hours each day. Wasn't too hard to make.

You could call it a missing piece of the Newgrounds website. Except, it's not all that well polished.
I'm gonna drop it in the next few days and see if it's appreciated.
If it is, I might make it a bit more sophisticated.
Guess what it is... I'm sure you're all super excited!!!!!!

I ain't made no games in a monfs. I had one idea, but I fought it would be under-appreciated, so I ain't gon' bova.
Ideaz?

Well, we released the game on January 4th 2009, around 7 months ago... and it now has 1,009,789 views... wow.... I was never expecting such success. To those who haven't played it, you stick together Mario backgrounds and characters, together with sounds and music, and you can record your own Mario movies.
You used to be able to upload them online, but the sheer amount of storage capacity and bandwidth made it impossible for us to keep the online portal.
Regardless, you can have a lot of fun with this game and it is a massive improvement over the 3rd installment.
Hmm....... I wonder if Mario Movie Maker 5 is in the works... hmm....
EDIT: To clarify, it has 40k views on Newgrounds, but over a million across the web. It was far more popular on other sites combined than it was on Newgrounds alone.

It's a platformer/puzzler/shooter and we've almost finished the game engine. After that, it's going to be onto level design, cut scenes, graphics, audio and more.
I just thought I'd show you a lil screenshot
Sorry, our team has now been filled.

OK, well, maybe not, but it's going to be damn cool.
Hints: it's online, it's real-time, it's competitive, and it simulates the real world.
I don't think you're gonna guess what this is about.
